Services for architects and planners

BIM, Datanorm, GAEB: Standardised methods and concepts

To support you in your planning, we offer online BIM, Datanorm and GAEB data for most of our products (e.g. instantaneous water heaters, water systems, taps, accessories, etc.).

A fast and reliable data exchange of digital building information is crucial for all parties involved in large projects. In addition to the many advantages for planners and architects, owners, builders and operators of a building project also benefit from the digital exchange of building data. There are many advantages, e.g. the reduction of planning errors, the avoidance of redundancies and the simplification of the necessary communication, to name but a few.

You can find the files currently available either on the individual product pages in the "Downloads" section or alternatively in our Media Centre under the keyword "BIM / Datanorm / GAEB".

BIM: digital planning, building and management

BIM: digital planning, building and management

Building Information Modelling, abbreviated BIM, is a method of digital planning, execution and management of buildings with the help of specialised software. All relevant building data is digitally recorded and networked for this purpose. Since the introduction of CAD programs in the early 1980s, digital building planning with BIM data has become increasingly important.

We offer BIM data for our products in both the open IFC format and the RFA format.

You can find the files currently available in the BIM formats "IFC" and "RFA" on the individual product pages in the "Downloads" section or alternatively in our Media Centre under the keyword "BIM / Datanorm / GAEB".

Datanorm: Standard procedure in the construction industry

Datanorm: Standard procedure in the construction industry

Datanorm is a standard procedure for the exchange of articles and master data in the construction industry. It is based on record descriptions that have been developed in a technical manner with the cooperation of associations, manufacturers, specialist dealers and software houses.

First published in 1986 as a technical book, this product data exchange format quickly became a widespread service offered by suppliers in the installation and building trades and is now used by more and more sectors and trade areas.

You will find a collective archive of all files currently available in Datanorm format on the individual product pages in the "Downloads" section or alternatively in our Media Centre under the keyword "BIM / Datanorm / GAEB".

GAEB: Data exchange in the construction industry

GAEB: Data exchange in the construction industry

The abbreviation "GAEB" has established itself as a uniform term for data exchange in the construction industry, even if the original meaning is different: the "Gemeinsame Ausschuss Elektronik im Bauwesen" (Joint Committee on Electronics in the Construction Industry) deals with guidelines for standardisation in the construction industry.

The GAEB has defined various data exchange phases, e.g. quantity takeoff, service description, tender submission or invoicing. The electronic exchange of these data takes place via standardised interfaces to which essentially all manufacturers of tendering and calculation programs should adhere.

You will find a collective archive of all currently available files in GAEB format on the individual product pages in the "Downloads" section or alternatively in our Media Centre under the keyword "BIM / Datanorm / GAEB".
